Philanthropy is commendable, but it must not cause the philanthropist to overlook the circumstances of economic injustice which make philanthropy necessary.

How to Apply

1.

Review Our Grant Guidelines

To ensure your application gets the attention it deserves, please thoroughly review our website and review our guidelines outlining what we traditionally support, and those organizations and categories that we traditionally do not.

2.

Reach Out To Us

As you are drafting your proposal, please reach out to us via phone or email for questions (see “contact” tab). If approved by the foundation grants committee, we will likely ask to schedule a meeting to hear about your project in full and visit your location prior to our board meeting.

3.

Complete The Online Application Form

Note as of July 1 2026: We are currently in the process of switching Grant application sites. Our new site is now live and open for new applications as of July 1. The application is the most essential part of the process. Our site lets you quickly register, and then you will be able to fill out your application on your timetable. Drafts are automatically saved on our servers, so no worries about losing your place or your work. Any and all attachments, requested or otherwise, can also be uploaded on the platform. To begin your first application, click “forgot your password” and use your foundation/organization email to create a login.

4.

Submission Deadlines

Our foundation has two grant cycles each year. For 2026, the first cycle concluded in April, and the second cycle will conclude in November.

Letters of Intent (LOIs) for the second grant cycle will be accepted beginning July 1 and must be submitted through our online application portal by September 1.

Organizations invited to submit a full application will typically be notified within a few days of submitting their LOI. Invited applicants must complete and submit their full application by September 4.

The Grants Committee will review applications on October 5. Organizations selected to advance in the process will be invited to host a site visit during the month of October.

Final funding decisions will be made at the Foundation's Board meeting on November 2, and all applicants will be notified of the decision that week.
